Public Cooking Classes

Sign up for an online, 75-minute cooking class with Chef Matt!

Classes are offered two Mondays a month, with unique recipes at each class. All participants will receive an ingredient list, pre-class instructions, and a Zoom link, 24 hours before the class. Similar to a community education class, you'll be learning with others from various communities. What a great way to spend an evening!

All classes are online, using Zoom. Cost: $30 per screen.

All classes are on Monday evenings and run from 6:00-7:15 p.m. CST.
 

January 23: Skillet Chicken

A perfectly cooked piece of chicken is a thing of beauty. Using simple, flavorful ingredients and a skillet, learn to cook a one-pot chicken dish that will impress even the pickiest of eaters. Gluten-free.

February 6: ????

Boost your knife skills! In this class, you'll learn tips and tricks for cutting various foods in safe and efficient ways, and along the way, make guacamole and pico de gallo. Vegan, gluten-free.

Pozole is a Mexican stew made with hominy, perfect for these chillier days. Pozole rojo is flavored with smoky red chiles; this version uses roasted cauliflower as the base instead of meat. Vegetarian, gluten-free.

A favorite from Matt's restaurant days, for guests and chefs! Learn to patty ground-pork burgers with all the right herbs, and make a cabbage-apple slaw and Thai peanut sauce, for the perfect little burger.

Pumkin

Homemade crust and homemade filling, from a real pumpkin. There is no better way to welcome your Thanksgiving guests than with a beautiful pie, with pumpkin you processed yourself. Vegetarian.

Homemade Pizza

This is our son's 13th birthday, and he requested homemade pizza, so we're sharing with all of you! Learn to make a homemade crust and homemade pizza sauce, and add all of your favorite toppings.

Homemade Hummus

Tis the season for eating all the things! Show up at your holiday party with three beautiful, creative dips/spreads: bacon jam, cranberry pesto, and garbanzo bean dip. Gluten-free.
